repaint of an old picture. i started this one in november but i wasn’t happy with it so i put it away. today i came back to it and finished. the last hour of work is documented on ls (the ls was longer but i must’ve DC’ed).

a little hype drawing of dirk for @callmearcturus‘s upcoming fic! its a island… mystery sex adventure…. mer!jake + alpha friendship… lots of delicious magical worldbuilding… epic. i’m summarising it in literally the worst way possible but i’ve gotten to read the outline and bits of the first chapter and. get hype.
context: dirk has magic warding tattoos that need to be cleansed of the magic that’s built up on them using salt water and the imagery just. nagged me for an entire day until i drew this
